Single umbilical artery can be a normal variant. Also it is seen associated with congenital anomalies of heart, GI tract or nervous system. Increasing maternal age and diabetes is associated with SUA. So get a high level ultrasound to rule out anomalies and fetal echocardiogram. Get a diabetic checkup of the mother. If all are normal it can be a normal variant. Hope i have answered your query. Good day..
