What Does "Mid Fullness Of The Left Pelvi-calyceal" Mean?

My CT Scan - the radiologist has remarked his Impressions as " Mid fullness of the left pelvi-calyceal system and left ureter without obvious obstructing calculus or lesion"
I request kindly explain to me what is its meaning in plain terms & also how far is it dangerous to me, & what precautions need I have to take to avert any of its adverse effects.

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

Mild fullness of left pelvicalyceal system describes mild ballooning of the outlet of left kidney. As there is no stone visualised, it is unlikely to be related to kidney disease. There are many reasons for this appearance.

1. It can be a normal extra renal pelvis which is a variation of normal.
2. It can be due to drinking large amounts of water of fluids just before the CT scan.
3. It can be due to mild pressure of overlying structures.

In other words, there is no need to worry and you do not have any disease condition related to the left kidney.
