What Does "Contour Abnormality Consistent With Anteroseptal Infraction" Suggest?
I just had an ekg done that reads "sinus rhythum qrs (t) contour abnormality consistent with anteroseptal infarction . Isn't that a heart attack? My doctor didn't mention anything about a heart attack. I am on a heart monitor for a week right now for further info. I am a 60 year old female. I am @5'3", 127 lbs, take lisinopril (10) mg., tirosint, pravastatin, prilosec, temazapam, fenofibrate and valacyclovir.

This pattern of EKG in your case suggest possible blood flow disturbances to heart secondary to ischemic heart disease.In most cases this pattern could be a nonspecific finding.The diagnoses of an infarction in most cases is generally made in correlation with clinical picture of the patient.Moderately severe chest pain ,squeezing in nature associated with excessive sweating and blood pressure fluctuations can point to such an infarct/heart attack episode.Since you are relatively free of such symptoms ,QRS counter abnormality in your case is warranted for further work up through 24h Holter EKG.This can accurately quantify any persistent EKG abnormalities if any.You are currently receiving an updated list of drugs.Consult your Doctor for further queries.
