What Does Pustules With Red Swelling, Burning And Itching Indicate ?
suspected folliculitis ,( initially doctor thought it was scabies despite my refusal to accept his diagnosis fro scabies), 3 courses of antibiotics had no effects neither did permethrin .. buring type itching sensations, pustules and red swellings. this hasbeen since November. itching sensation sometimes rather like some one is pinchingme with a needle or some kind of bite.

The condition does sound like folliculitis to me.
Which antibiotic have you taken? Had a pus culture been done at any point of time.
Can you send me a pic of the lesions ( Doctor@healthcaremagic.com, Sub:Attn Dr Gaurang).
I shall be in abetter position to answer your query then.
Till then you may apply bactroban ointment twice daily.

Very itchy papular lesions..,
common sites are....Interdigial areas of hands..,
around umblicus., inner thighs.,and shoulders...
on genitalia....nodular lesions...desire to pinch..,
more in night times..ok.
FOLLICULITIS..,Multiple pustular lesions..,
mainly on hair bearing areas..,on beard, axilla,
shoulder back...neither itch nor more in night times..,
ok..So evaluate these features and diagnose what it is ..?
follow the treatment accordingly...thanQ
