What Does Presence Of Multiple Cysts In Ovaries Mean?

hello,

i had an USG PELVIS (TAS & TVS)
Result: Uterus; 5.7 x 2.7 x 3.7 cm, anteverted normal in size and echotexture, no obvious focal lesions, cavity empty, endometrial thickness 7.6

Right ovary: 37 x23.7 x 31.2mm, volume 14cc
Left ovary: 35.8 x23.8 x 27.7mm, volume 12cc

Both ovaries shows multiple peripheral cysts. Both ovaries and adnexae appear otherwise normal.

Pouch of Douglas: Free

IMPRESSION: No contributory findings
Suggest Clinical Correlation.

please what does this mean? especially the multiple cysts in my ovaries? I don't have kids yet. Is there any possibility that I can still conceive? Thank you..CK

hi
mutiple cyts in ovaries means u must be having POLYCYSTIC OVARIES.
do u have any menstral problem, excessive hair growth , weight gain, then it is PCOD, POLYCYSTIC OVARIAN DISEASE.
