What Does Positive Herpes Test Result Along With Bump On Labia Minora Indicate?

I took a STD panel which came out positive for Herpes 1&2. The only symptom I have is a tiny bump on one side of my labia minora with some redness. I understand it is possible to have a false possitive for Herpes. I think I may have a cyst instead. Doesn t the Herpes symptom have several blisters?

Hi,

I can understand your concern for positive herpes test result along with bump on labia minora.

Herpes lesions manifest itself as small vesicles (fluid filled blisters) which remains for just a day or two and then forms ulcers which are quite painful. These ulcers then heals in next 5-7 days.

On your case both the tests results as well as the lesions are present so making a higher probability of herpes.
You can get your tests repeated for herpes IgM and IgG to see the further probability. You can take a proper guidance and follow up with a good dermatologist to take care of the problem better.

Take care.
