What Does Pinkish Urine During Pregnancy Indicate?

I am 34 weeks pregnant and baby is on my cervix head down already. I had to pee and the urine was pinkish both times. I couldnt tell if i was dehydrated or if it was something else. I wiped and had a small dot of blood on the tp. What could this be? Mucus plug starting to come out or what

Hello and thank you for visiting our site.

A small amount of blood with wiping might be from the following sources:
1. From the babies head pushing on the bladder and causing a small amount of bleeding from breakage of surface blood vessels in the bladder
2. From thinning and dilation of the cervix

That being said, if you are not having any contractions, given your gestational age of 34 weeks, a change (dilation and effacement of the cervix) is usually not too concerning because there is no intervention after 34 weeks. My guess is that this is related to thinning of the cervix. Check with your OB Provider and make sure they do not want you to come in to be seen.

I hope that this helps and good luck!
