What Does Pelvic Scan Result Mean?

I went in for a pelvic scan due to severe bleeding and the report says uterus measures 10.5*4.8*6cms.
Anteverted, mildly enlarged mymotrium appears slightly non-homogenous and slightly hypo echoic ( early adenomyosis)
Endometrium appears predominantly echogenic.

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM

According to reports, uterus is slightly bulky in size with slightly non-homogenous and hypoechoic in echotexture s/o early adenomyosis.
Adenomyosis is a condition in which the inner lining of the uterus (endometrium) breaks through the muscle wall of the uterus (myometrium). It is a benign condition.
Treatment of adenomyosis are both conservative and surgical depending upon many things like age, family is completed or not, symptoms etc.

Echogenic endometrium is a normal finding.finding. Echogenesity varies with stage of menstrual cycle.
You should consult your doctor.

Hope i have answered your query.
Take Care
