What Does Pain In The Neck And Lower Back Indicate?

Hi I have been having pain in the back of my necklace, middle of my back and lower back. They all have an area that is inflamed. I have them every so often, usually not all at the same time,but this time. I also get smaller knot like areas that hurt if touched like a muscle spasm, maybe. Sometimes they can run up my Neck and cause headaches. I have tried anti inflammatory and bio freeze. Not helping and hurting worse to walk or do daily activity right now. Sometimes the pain runs down my legs also. Thank you for any input

As per your query you have pain in the neck and lower back. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like muscle strain , kidney stones , tension headache , constipation , acute kidney failure or fatigue. Viral infection can also cause such symptoms. I would suggest you to take proper rest , avoid lifting heavy things , apply warm compresses to back or take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain. If condition doesn't get well then consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination. Doctor may order x-ray or CT scan. Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant along with anti inflammatory. Doctor may also refer you to neurologist for migraine or exertion headache type of problem
