Hello and welcome to HCM, The TORCH panel tests for presence of absence of infection with infectious agents which have negative impact on pregnancy. The antibodies are tested against Toxoplasma, rubella, cytomegalovirus and herpes simplex. Ig G antibody is indicative of past infection and Ig M is suggestive of recent infection. In your report there is elevation of antibodies Ig G against toxoplasma, cytomegalovirus and herpes simplex. The report suggests that there was past infection with toxoplasma, cytomegalovirus and herpes simplex. Past infections do not affect the current pregnancy thus there is nothing to worry.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
