What Does My Pelvic Ultrasound Test Result Indicate?

i just had a pelvic ultrasound and the result shows a 2cm cyst left ovary. i am more concerned the the impression: Prominent endometrial echocomplex with a heterogenous appearance. This should be evaluated clinically. i alos just had a cervical benign polyp removed.

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
The following things can be inferred based on the ultrasound report you have presented.
1. Cyst of 2 cm present on left ovary needs to be followed up as to know weather it is increasing or not. Most times, it would regress by itself and might not cause much problems. In case it is increasing in size, a ultrasound guided biopsy needs to be done and evaluated.
2. Heterogeneous appearance of endometrium needs to be evaluated at present by doing an endometrial biopsy and its histopathological examination. Based on the report, it needs to be treated.
Kindly consult Gynecologist with the report for appropriate evaluation and management.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
