What Does My Pelvic Ultrasound Mean?

Endometrium is abnormally thickened measuring 15mm with small cystic areas. No abnormal vascularity demonstrated. Right ovary has volume of 16.4 cc with prominent 2 follicles measuring at 17mm. The left ovary has a total volume of 2.2cc. No free fluid. Kidneys are not obstruced. Anteverted uterus with a volume of 158cc. Heterogenous myometrium with poor definition of the endometrium with myometrium noted particularly in the anterior wall. I am 51 been having periods but missed period in June & July. Had heavy period in September with clotting. Started period on 7th October and had to have ultrasound on 8th October. Was feeling very nervous and period became very scant while having ultrasound. Hi welcome HCM,
I understand your concern.

your uterus is large in size with there is endo myometrial junction indistinction and other associated findings suggestive of adenomyosis of uterus.
it is not cancerous condition so nothing to worried about.

Treatment depends on severity of symptoms and the need to preserve fertility.
If your family is complete you can go for hysterectomy means removal of uterus by surgery
If not then some harmonal suppresion drugs (e.g. GnRH agonist) is sufficient.
