What Does My Following Ultrasound Report Indicate?

Hi, my ultrasound sez Uterus: enlarged Cervix measure : 3.2cm Evidence of a single intrauterine gestatational sac. Fetal pole not visualized. Fetal age estimates 5 weeks and 4 days GS: 13.3mm
Fetal heart activity not visualized, Internal OS is closed. No obvious adnexal pathology. Is this a good sign? Thanks

Welcome to health care magic.

1.The cervix appears bulky as uterus is gravid and measurement is borderline bulky.
2.There is evidence of gestational sac corresponding to 5 weeks 4 days with no foetal pole and cardiac activity - in this case i would recommend for a followup scan in a 7-10 days time for cardiac activity for confirmation of the viability of the pregnancy.
3.Generally by 5 1/2 weeks by trans vaginal and 6 1/2 weeks trans abdominal one should see foetal pole with cardiac activity.
4.Internal os closed and no obvious mass lesion / collection / pathology seen - which is good and normal.
5.Suggest to get a followup scan as mentioned for confirmation of viability of pregnancy.

Good luck.
Hope i have answered your query,
