What Does My Following CT Scan Indicate?

I was just told the results of my ct brain - there is a moderate area of gliosis in the posterior superior aspect of the left frontal lobe consistent with an old ischaemic infarct. The brain parenchyma otherwise has a normal apearance with good preservation of the grey-white matter interface. Normal enhancement of the vessels is demonstrated.

Hello

Your findings indicate gliosis in left frontal lobe.Gliosis is sequel of old ischemia,injury etc.
Gliosis occurs in long standing infarct(due to ischemia),old injury etc.
In your case,it may be due to old ischemic infarct.
You need monitoring of conditions that leads to ischemic changes like hypertension,altered lipid profile,diabetes mellitus.
You need investigations like routine hemogram,RBS,LFT,RFT,Lipid profile.Proper treatment depend upon findings.
Other findings are normal.

hello sir, dr.boskey gandhi is here, as your ct scan report mentioned that moderate gliosis on left frontal region indicates any history of stroke, but this lesion is old & heald so don't worry, otherwise your brain is good in condition. but u should conscious about symptoms like blurring of vision, sever headache, vomiting, if it occur, u should consult your doctor, so don't worry at all. be happy
