What Does My Cholesterol Levels Indicate?

My cholesterol is 294 MG/DL. HDL is 80 mg/dl and my LDL is 191.0 mg/dl. I am 74 years old and have had high cholesterol every since I was tested. It has gone up as high as 320. Doctors tell me it is inherited. I have been on many satins and they all make me very sick. I have collagenous colitis since I was a very young child. Most medicines so not agree with me. I watch what I eat and take homeopathic supplements to try to lower the cholesterol. Any other suggestions. I did suffer a TMI 2 years ago with no lingering side effects but it does concern me very much.
