What Does My Blood Pressure Reading Indicate?

I am a 55 year old man.

My blood pressure average reading is 122/85 based on two readings recorded in the morning & night.

However there have been numerous occasions whereby it hit a maximum of 133/94. The high reading usually occur in the morning.

Am I considered to have suffered form hypertension?

Hi,
With these BP recordings, it all seems perfect to me. With your Baseline BP (that is during rest and often) below 140/90, you should hardly bother about hypertnesion. But healthy lifestyle is a must to follow in every case.

One thing I must state that, there is always a rise in BP with stress or work in any work, so BP shooting 133/94 at those circumstances should be taken normal, if it comes back to below 140/90 on rest. And if BP shoots very high during work or stress like readings like 180/110, it shouldnt be neglected, and appointment with primary physician made.

Regards
