What Does My CT Scan Report Indicate?

I just returned from a cardio vascular screening I decided to get because I turned 60 last July. I have have no health problems to speak of. I take a calcium/vit D daily on the advice of my primary MD. I was very surprised to find out today that my LDL is 173 and the goal is below 100. My HDL is 56. My triglycerides is 65. My total is 242. My fasting blood sugar is 99, blood pressure is 120/60. my calcium (assessed via CT scan) is 0. BMI is normal. I am freaking out! Not sure what next steps to take. Please help.

Hi welcome to the health care magic

Cholesterol estimation usually done in fasting state....

So it's better I will advise you to repeat lipid profile investigation after 8 hour fasting and take sample in morning in fasting..

If in repeat report cholesterol high then we will rule out hypothyroidism, kidney profile, liver disease...
If these report within range secondary hypercholesterol will be ruled out...

And for high cholesterol (if comes in repeat report) rosuvastatin 5 mg dose drug OD can be started under laboratory monitoring

Also get investigated With Tread mill and EKG as a routine check up

Hope I have solved your query
