What Does Mild Facet Arthropathy In MRI Report Suggest?

yes would you please explain th e findings of an mri:
c4-5 large anterior endplate spurs are present with moderate disk space narrowing. There is miild bilateral facet arthropathy. A ver btiny posterior disk protrusion is present without high grade cana stenosis.
At
c5-6 there is almost completer loss of the disk space height. Prior CT demonstrates both anteroipr amd posterior endplate spurring. High-grade canal stenosis is pressent in the midline and to the rioght of midline due to a combination of posterior disk herniation and endplate spur. There is also some narrowing of the right neural foramen byi uncinaate spurs and to a lesser degree left foraminal narrowing. The cord is flattened. On sagittal T@ weighted images, there may be some very ssubtle increased signal intaensity within the cord at this level
At
c-7 uncinate spurs narrow the right neural foramen. There are small posterior endplatae spurs present and a small disk protrusion creating slight narrowing of the right side of the canal as seen on axial image

#25 Minimal impingement on the cord is present The C7-T1 level is unremarkable Is surgery the only answer here or will physical therapy be a pausible help here

General & Family Physician 's  Response
welcome to Health care magic.
1.Your report syas presence of degenerative changes in the spine could be age related or excessive usage ( physical hard work with weight bearing work) may cause above findings.
2.The spur / osteophytes at different levels mentioned are bony out growth - its degenerative cause.
3.There is also disc disease with reduced intervertebral height, and herniation of the disc and the herniated disc seen mass effect on nerve and the spinal chord.
4.All above findings are treated with simple exercises initially followed by physiotherapy if not helpful.
5.Finally in a severely symptomatic personel - operative / interventional procedure are the treatment of choice.
Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health.
