What Does Marginal Osteophytes In X-ray Suggest?

this is my x ray. Lumbar spine: No fracture. Vertebral body heights are maintained. Normal lordotic curvature. Disc spaces are relatively preserved. small marginal osteophytes at multiple levels. minimal posterior facet hypertrophy in the lower lumbar spine. pedicles intact. Surgical clips in the right hemiabdomen.

No need to worry in this report. Report is quite good. Osteophytes are bony out growths which are normal in old age. If you are not symptomatic than no treatment is required. In some patients these Osteophytes tend to grow and compress nerve roots and cause symptoms. For this surgery is needed. But at your stage nothing needed. Don't worry about this report.
