What Does Leukocyte Esterase Negative Mean?

What is the meaning of leukocyte esterase trace negative mean. Yet I feel like something could be wrong. Having little discomfort in stomach at times and it feel like I have to urinate more often wheather it s more or less. My doctor said it s nothing, but somehow I m still it doubt.For reasons, it s never showed up on my lab test before. Could you explain what the white blood cells have to do with This and what does trace mean, trace Of what? Please explain.

leukocyte esterase is a by product of having WBC in our urine. presence of this byproduct indicates infection. usually we measure the urine for how much of this is byproduct is in urine. if its trace or negative then its not infection and something else might be causing the symptoms.
