What Does It Mean By Ground Glass Appearance Or Infiltrates On Chest X-ray?
My wife has Scleroderma. Her Rheumatologist said a chest X-ray showed ill-defined density in the left lung base. He wants to see if she has ground glass appearance or infiltrates. What does that mean? I'm sorry but we are poor and can't afford the price...thank you anyway
Ground glass appearance is one type of terminology used in CT scan..scleroderma can involve lung & i can understand your concern about cost. But this investigation can alter your treatment strategy. So,if i would be there, i also would suggest you HRCT chest & also pulmonary fumction test etc. So, this investigation is justifiable for your condition.
