General & Family Physician 's  Response
hi,
I have read your query & understand your concern.
It seems you have placenta previa .. placenta is the connection between mother & baby . It provides nutrients/ oxygen/ hormones .. that are vital for baby growth & survival Placentaprevia is a condition when placenta obstructs the normal birth passage,
slightest stress to mother/ slightest stretch of uterine mouth.. causes bleeding in such patient.
Normal delivery would cause disruption of placenta & risk to baby & mother's life. So normal delivery is not possible in the condition.
* Now you will understand why delivery in placentaprevia is always by caesarean section operation.
management consists of-
- full bed rest
- nutritious diet with fresh fruits/ salads/ vegetables. milk, pulses
- Drink lot of water.
- avoid psychological & physical stress/ avoid constipation.
- Regular pregnancy check up,
- Be prepared for a planned caesarean delivery as per treating doctor's advise ( when fetal growth & weight are optimum.
Thanks.
