What Does Inflammation In The Sphenoid Sinus With Large Sphenoid Mucocele Mean?

I had an MRI of my neck, my symptoms are tingling in the right hand, pain in shoulder blade, and I am currently having dizzy spells. The MRI reveled severe inflammation in the sphenoid sinus with a probable large sphenoid mucocele. Not sure what that is or if that is the cause or contributor to the dizziness. Please advise Thanks

Hello

Your findings suggest inflammation in sphenoid sinus. There is also formation of large cyst like structure (mucus containing)in sphenoid sinus. It may develop due to long standing infection.
You may need to remove it surgically after evaluation.
Most likely dizziness is due to some other reasons. It may be due to cervical spine changes as you also have tingling sensation in right hand.

Get well soon.
Take Care
