What Does Incidental Note Of A Minimal Mucosal Thickening In The Ethmoids And Both Maxillary Sinuses Indicate?
Hello Dr. Keerthi, I would like to ask what does my cranial MRI result mean? "There is no gross abnormal signal change within the brain parenchyma. Gray-white matter is preserved. There is no hydrocephalus. The sulci and cisterns are not effaced. The posterior fossa structures are intact. No midline shift. Incidental note of a minimal mucosal thickening in the ethmoids and both maxillary sinuses. IMPRESSION: GROSSLY UNREMARKABLE NON-CONTRAST MRI STUDY OF THE BRAIN."
You have almost normal findings. There is minimal mucosal thickening in the ethmoids and both maxillary sinuses, these are incidental findings and there is no need to worry. It doesn't require any treatment. Brain parenchyma appears normal.Normal Gray-white matter differentiation is preserved. Gyri and sulci appears normal. Posterior fossa structures appears normal. No mid line shift and no hydrocephalus. Hope i have answered your query.
Take Care Dr.Indu Bhushan
