What Does Impression Of OS In II Mean In ECG Report?
I m a 41 year old male. Last week I had my ECG and got the impression of OS in II, AVF probable old inferior wall myocardial infarction. My Cardiologist told me that I have Gastroesophageal Reflux due to my shortness of breath and gave me medications. Lastly, he gave me medicines for my BP and heart. My ave. BP is 120/80. What is your interpretation on my ECG? Thanks.
Welcome to Health Care Magic. Thank you for posting your question. I can understand your concern.
I guess you are probably talking of pathological Q wave or inverted T wave in leads II , III and AVF . They indicate an old infarctin the inferior wall of the heart - a sequelae of an old heart attack or decreased blood flow to the heart. Do not worry about that .
Continue the medications as advised by your doctor.
Check your blood pressure once in 2 weeks.
Keep a sorbitrate tablet under your pillow every night. Take it if you have a chest pain.
Whenever you have chest pain, breathlessness or palpitation get an EKG done.
Write back to us. Have a nice day. Regards.
