What Does High SGPT,GGT And Thyroxine Level Mean?

Hi Doctor,

I am a 31 year old male. I recently underwent a routine medical examination.
I am a healthy person and under no medication.
However, I am a bit concerned about my reports. Could you please advise what I have to do.
Below are the results:
SGOT: 55.00 (ok)
SGPT: 92.00 (high)
GGT: 186.00 (high)
Total T4-Thyroxine- : 166 nmol/L (high)

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The test -SGOT, SGPT, and GGT are done to assess the function of liver.
There is mild increase in the levels of all three enzymes.
This suggests some disease process involving the liver.
You need to get some more tests e.g. bilirubin (total and direct), albumin, globulin and albumin:globulin ratio.
After getting all these tests, the exact cause of the liver dysfunction ca be determined.

T4 is the hormone secreted by the thyroid organ.
Increase in level of T4 suggests hyperthyroidism.
You need to get another test for TSH.
Ultrasound of the neck for thyroid may be required to look for evidence of any nodule or growth in the thyroid lobes.
