My C3-4 and C4-5 and C6-7 MRI report reads ..broad-base posterior dis osteophyte complex causing effacement of the ventral thecal sac with moderate spinal stenosis measuring 8mm in AP. There is abutment and mild flattening (mild contour ) (deformity) of ventral cord. What does this mean?

Hello

MRI findings indicate degenerative changes in cervical spine.
Degenerative changes are generally age related findings.

At C3-4,C4-5 and C6-7 level, there is complex structure compromising bulged disc and osteophytes which is touching thecal sac and mild flattening of ventral cord.
This complex is also causing moderate narrowing of spinal canal.Spinal canal measures 8 mm.

All these findings are consistent with degenerative spine disease.

Majority of degenerative disc disease patients are benefited by conservative treatment in the form of physiotherapy, analgesics and muscle relaxants.
Surgery is last option.

Treatment can be planned after consultation with neurologist.

Get well soon.
Take Care
