What Does Dilated Cervix With Small Blood Clots In A Pregnant Woman Indicate?

Hi, I'm 37.3 wks pregnant. I had my cervix checked today and am dilated 1cm with cervix still high. I went to the restroom and when I wiped I had a couple small (smaller then pea sized) blood clots. I've been having pink discharge and cramping fire several days now but the dark/deep red clots are different.

It most likely suggests you are going into labour. Since you are 37.3 weeks pregnant, it will be better if you can postpone for a minimum of a week. You need a scan to locate the position of placenta. A low-lying placenta can cause such bleed.Do you have hypertension? If so, you need not try to postpone delivery. Your obsetrician is the best judge as I do not have much information about your placenta and blood pressure. Take absolute bed rest till your get your Doctor's advice. The change of color and discharge of clots suggests increase in the amount of bleed. Please get a check up immediately.
