What Does Cloudiness In Neck On MRI Scan Indicate?

I have been diagnosed with traumatic nerve damage in my neck... My doctor has prescribed me 600 mg gabapentin at bedtime and 600 mg ibuprofen 3 times a day for the pain because I operate heavy machinery at my job.... my mri showed cloudiness in my neck she said.. they did a reflex check and none of my reflexes above the waist work at all... they performed another test on me where they stuck a needle in me and applied voltage to shock me on my arms, shoulders, and neck... they won t tell me what is wrong and whether or not they can fix it... now they want to try acupuncture... what is going on??

Hello,

I have studied your case.
Due to compression of this nerve root there can be areflexia and weakness in your arm and fingers.
Clouding in your MRI can be due to spinal cord edema.
I will advise you to EMG-NCV for better diagnosis.
Another possibility of vascular obstruction to arm, for this clinical examination may be required

Physiotherapy like ultrasound and interferential therapy will give quick relief.
I will advise to check your vit B12 and vit D3 level.
