What Does Bumpy Tissue On Anus With Pus Leaking Indicate?

I have pus leaking from my anaus. It smells bad i have to wear a liner so it doesn't soil my under garments. Its been 3 days now. Day 1 i had pain when i moved my bowel day 2 so much pain it was hard to walk bend or to even sit. I looked in the mirror i did not see anything until i opended and closed my anus repetitively. Too see large bumby tissue with pus leaking out. Today is day 4 pain is way less but pus ans large bumpy tissue inside anus is still there. What is it? Please help

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that pain and lump in the anus that leaks pus and is severely painful can be a Perianal abscess in case if it is outside the anal opening..
It can also be an infected anal fistula..

Perianal abscess occurs most commonly due to hairfollicle infection while other causes can be infected gland in the area or infection in the skin leading to pus formation under the skin..

While anal fistula is formed after drainage of an abscess and if it get s re infected there can be discharge of pus along with pain..

I would suggest you to consult a Proctologist or Anorectal surgeon or you can even see a general surgeon and get evaluated.
He can advise you a course of antibiotics, anti inflammatory painkiller and topical application of antibiotic, steroid and numbing ointment..
If it is an abscess and does not improve or start worsening then Incision and Drainage can help in faster resolution..

In case of fistula, Fistulectomy that is surgical procedure to unroof and close the fistula is advised..
