What Does Bump On The Earlobes Near The Jaw Lines Suggest?

hi,
i have a small bump (30-40mm) in the area below the earlobe and to the right of the jawline.. only on the right side.
Ive noticed it 2 days back randomly.
Dont have any pain. It disappears if I move my neck to the other side and try to feel it. And I can only feel it if I position my head in a particular position.
I recently had acne on right side of the face for which Ive done a course of antibiotic. It is mildly better but not 100% ok....
My ear is also giving a mild tingling sensation... making me want to rub it sometime.

Can you advice

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern.

As per your query you are having symptoms of bump on earlobes near jawline which is mainly because of three major reasons:

1) It can be a swollen lymph node like a submandibular lymph node which has swollen in response to nasal and sinus infections.
2)Secondly it could be due to parotid gland infection which can be due to mumps or parotitis.
3)Third possibility is of any stone in the salivary gland.

I suggest you to visit your general practioner once and get an examination and a FNAC (fine needle aspiration cytology) done to confirm the diagnosis.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. This answer is on the basis of medical information given by you.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
