I am in my late 50 s and I just started to have a brownish red discharge and I have a little bit of cramping not too much what does this mean?

Hello,
If you are post menopausal then this is cause for worry.You need to have a pelvic exam and pap smear to rule out local pathology.Also a ultrasound has to be done to rule out endometrial hyperplasia.
