My 12 yr old daughter has blood on her bottom when she wipes her, she did not pass any stools, what is wrong, i am a bit worried as this never happened before. she has not started menstruating yet, but it definately is not her period as the blood is only by the bum.

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
Painless bleeding per rectum is due to either Piles or a rectal polyp or a meckel's diverticulam.
Piles are not common at this age.
Better to consult surgeon and follow his advice.
Usually it may require surgery
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
