What Does Anastomotic Ulceration After Bowel Resection Mean?
I have been diagnosed with Crohns disease, colitis for 33 years. I have had 3 bowel resections and have just had another colonoscopy because a FIT test was positive. My report says that I have Aphthous ulcers and Anastomotic ulceration, what does this mean?????

Anastomotic ulceration in just an ulcer in the part where the 2 parts of the bowel are connected (sutured) after the resection. It happens usually in Crohn's disease (as you know,it is a chronic inflammatory disease of the intestines, especially the colon and ileum, associated with ulcers and fistulae)
You need to check up with your personal gastroenterologist to start the treatment.
