What Does An Indentation On The Tibia Bone Indicate?

A 7yr old has an indentation on his right tibia. It is on the middle of it (half way between the knee and ankle). It feels like a small depression in the bone of about 1-2 cm long and 2-3 mm deep. It doesn t hurt and it not related to any recent event we can recall. What can this be? Thanks!

must be an old injury. but if no problem then forget about it.no treatment is requered.might be a birth injury in still younger age there may be pressure over bone inwhich it has indented.
