What Does An Extra Skin Growth Around Vagina, After The Use Of Tampon, Indicate?

Hi there, my name is Vicky and am 24 year old. I have a little problem. I have noticed sometime unusual around my vagina a week or 2 ago after using a tampon for the first time. I thought it was swollen at first. But I just looked closely this morning it like an extra skin growing around my vagina and am really scared. I have booked a doctors appointment immediately to have it checked out. But Can you please help me on what it might be. Please am so worried. Thank you.
