My son-in-law was diagnosed with grade III oligodendroglioma (tumor the size of an egg) in his frontal lobe almost 5 years ago. Tumor was resected... followed up by radiation and chemotherapy (Temodar.) Until January of this year MRIs showed no growth. Now he has a tumor in the basal ganglia area that started as 3 mm and has grown (in 4 months) to 14 mm. We are trying to read between the lines of medical terminology and figure out what all this means...
Dear Unfortunately it seems your son in law has another tumor and in my opinion isn't related with the old one. I think it's a new one and you should consult a neurosurgeon Regards
