What Does A Swollen Lump Between The Calf And Ankle Indicate?

I have a swelling or bump that feels somewhat firm between my calf and ankle. the swollen area is about 2 inches in diameter and there is an indentation where my sock ends so it appears to be swelling but only in the one spot. I have no history of fluid retention and it is only on one leg.

it can be associated withthrombophlebitis may be having varicose vein. requeres to be examined by surgeon for examination diagnosis and advise on treatment.
