What Does A Red Rash Below Penis Indicate?

I have a rash below of my penis, as if it was raw. its red and itches, I am useing nesporetan. I am not cut and hurts at time when I pull the foreskin back. I an 61 years old and really dont know what to do. My wife thought it was STD, but I know I havent been with anyone else. Is there any meds I can take instead of going to a Dr. and have to tell the Nurse that my penis is broke?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
i had gone through your question
i really appreciate your concern
this could be a STI or allergic reaction
If you can upload me a photograph with complete medical history I will be able to guide you better
in my opinion you should consult a doctor for examination and a battery of tests like blood for hemoglobin CBC ESR VDRL test and urine for culture and sensitivity test

you may require a course of antibiotics under supervision of your doctor
you can apply an antiseptic ointment over the rashes
maintain good hygiene

hope this helps you
feel free to ask for further clarification
Regards
