Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of painful nerve on the tongue which seems to be due to damage of a branch of trigeminal nerve that is inferior alveolar nerve and lingual nerve as inferior alveolar and lingual nerve supply to the lower jaw region and tongue area. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult oral surgeon and neurologist for proper examination. Doctor may order CT scan or MRI to confirm the diagnosis and start treatment accordingly. You should do tongue exercises and maintain complete oral hygiene and apply dologel to avoid pain.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
