What Does A Low Lying Placenta Indicate?

Hi, My wife age is 28 and when we went for NT scan during 12 week of pregnancy we came to know that Placenta is on the anterior wall, low lying margin covers the os. Doctor suggested to take rest every thing will be fine in one month and she told for 70% of the women the placenta will move up by taking rest. Now my question is if the placenta doesn't move up then is it is a serious issue or is there any solution for that. Please help me here.

Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
You should not worry about that.
Yes, your doctor is right the placenta goes with advancement of pregnancy.
If it will not go up, may be you need caesarian section for delivering your baby.
Good luck.
