What Does A Bulging Vein On Left Side Of Forehead Indicate?

Hello,i have a bulging vein that hurts on the left side of my forehead and the whole left side of my head hurts in a strange way-not inside the head but it looks like if only the skin or the muscle on the top of the head. I have had this problem 7y ago and it just disappeared. What could it be?

It could be temporal arteritis - A condition in which the superficial artery around the left temple gets inflamed and causes headache on same side of the head. You should get blood tests for ESR & CRP. You can try drugs like Indomethacin or Paracetamol for relief at times of pain. If it is very painful and not relieved by the medications then you should see a Rheumatologist with the reports of the above tests. Feel free to contact us again if any further queries. Take care.
