What Does 'T Wave Abnormality, Consider Inferior Ischemia' Mean In An ECG Test?

Hi, I am a 50 yr old female, 191lbs, 5' 7" tall, normal blood pressure (120/71 mmHg), no diabetes, exercise regularly, eat moderately, no smoke. Just had an ECG and got a reading of: Normal sinus rhythm, T wave abnormality, consider inferior ischemia. What does this mean?

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

There are waves which are studied in an ECG to record the electric impulses of the heart. The T wave is one such entity. If there is T wave abnormality, the patient should get an echocardiography done to see heart wall motions. T wave can alarm an impending heart attack. Please have your echocardiography done at the earliest.
