What Does Leukocytes Esterase In Urine During Pregnancy Mean? Suggest Treatment

I am pregnant and recently went to get blood and urine test. I have a +2 for Leukocytes Esterase ( standard is negative) and have Protein trace (which should also be negative). The white cells in my urine means I have a UTI or anything else? What can I do to take care of this?

Yes, the leucocytes do indicate a UTI (most probably) which is why I would recommend a revisit to the clinic for a prescription of antibiotics. Please also drink plenty of water, cranberry juice as tolerated and 1 tbsp of baking soda in a glass of water whenever you can through the day. Please also completely avoid sexual contact in all forms if you are indeed sexually active.
