Hi i just got my test results back for herpes and they say HSV I TYPE SPECIFIC 5.00H AB HSV 2 ING TYPE SPECIFIC 5.00H0.90-1.10 Equivocal 1.10 Positive Does this mean I have herpes But I never have sores or nothing?? Please can u help I m confused
Herpes is one of the commonest sexually transmitted infections and HSV 1 is oral herpes and HSV 2 is genital herpes. If you have kissed partners or had sex in the past then it is possible you got the infection from them. All patients do not have symptoms of herpes. Oral herpes can be transmitted to the genitals, and even the opposite is possible. Therefore the best precautions will be to have the lease number of faithful sex partners and use condoms during sex. Since Herpes 1 and 2 can be transmitted by oral or vaginal sex, no form of sex is safe as far as Herpes is concerned. Herpes is usually passed from person to person by kissing. HSV 1 and 2 can also spread from the mouth to the genitals during oral sex (fellatio, cunnilingus, analingus).
