What Does ESR Levels 85mm/hr In Report Suggest?

i was having a pain intestinal in lower right portion of abdoman, my doctor put me on treatment of having inj ciproxin 200 mg in fusion twice a day and tanzo each a day .i was having fever also around 100 after 2 days fever has come on normal and the pain is very slight just some times feeling a pin prick ,my doctor suggest me some blood tests xray etc as per report every thing is OK except ESR test that is 85mm/hr what does it mean and indicates

ESR is a simple, non-specific test that is used to detect inflammation associated with conditions such as infections, cancers, and autoimmune diseases.
ESR is non-specific, an elevated result just indicates the presence of inflammation but not the site or cause .Rise in ESR in your case can be due to inflammation of intestines.As the disease subsides it will come down,so dont worry!
