Hi! Welcome to HCM! ESR is a simple, non-specific test that is used to detect inflammation associated with conditions such as infections, cancers, and autoimmune diseases. ESR is non-specific, an elevated result just indicates the presence of inflammation but not the site or cause .Rise in ESR in your case can be due to inflammation of intestines. As the disease subsides it will come down,so dont worry! Hope this helps! Take care!
