What Does CT Scan Showing Dilation Of Right Hepatic Duct Mean?
I had a CT Scan and my family doctor said it shows a dilation of right hepatic duct. They were looking at my gallbladder which appears to be normal. I am trying to find more information on symptoms and treatments for this. I see a specialist in a few weeks so I need some information before that.
Hi there, Thanks for posting in HCM. Dilated right hepatic duct means, something is obstructing right below it. A tumor can be the cause. Sometimes the dilatation could represent a choledochal cyst. A gallstone is a less likely cause to obstruct at that level. I hope that answers your query. Regards.
