What Does 90% Blockage Of Left Carotid Artery On Left Side Of Neck Indicate?

After seeing a vascular surgeon I was told my left carotid artery on the left side of my neck was 90% blocked. It is too dangerous to have a stent put in due to where the blockage is he said I would most likely have a massive stroke and die. Does this mean I will eventually die due to this blockage?

There are other techniques available too, carotid endarterectomy, angioplasty and stenting if possible( he says its not suitable for you). It also depends on symptomatic versus non symptomatic cases and treatment differs accordingly.

Take a second opinion from a vascular surgeon and get treated as he says.

Don't think you are ending up in a fatal stroke. people with diseases live best ever longer lives and athletes in their thirties fell down in a play ground and pass away.

Think positive and you will get the courage to fight with the disease.
