What Do You Suggest For Mild Thinning Of Renal Cortices Bilaterally?

I have mild thinning of the renal cortices bilaterally. Is a biopsy necessary cause I don t feel I can do that? Can they perform the procedure by laprascopy? If so do they go through the belly button or near the site of the kidney. What type of dr does this?

hello
welcome from healthcaremagic
mild thinning of renal cortices means mild hydronephrosis. It can be normal finding in many persons UsG.bECAUSE USG is operator dependent. It can be due to posterior urethral valve or enlarged prostate.Biopsy is not required.Instead DMSA and DTPA scan and MCU will help in pinpointing the cause
