What Do You Suggest For Light Headedness With Slurred Speech And Vomitting When Pregnant?

My friend is 37 weeks pregnant and for the past few weeks has spells of feeling light headed like she's going to faint, has had slurred speech and today vomited during a spell. She went to ER and they checked blood sugar and BP, both were just a little high but not enough for concern, she has no contractions and is only 1cm dilated. I'm concerned she may have a cardiac issue or TIA or a blood clot or something but they haven't done an EKG or anything beyond testing for high blood pressure (pre-eclampsia) and sugar - they sent her home again. Help?

Hi,

She seems to be having symptoms of preeclampsia.

Please see a gynecologist immediately.

This is probably related to her history of high blood pressure.

Regards
